This chapter examines workplace HIV/AIDS programs as an example of the limitations of global AIDS policy. It discusses practical, political, philosophical, and economic problems with workplace HIV programs, but supports the use of the workplace as a convenient venue for broad public health programs that also address HIV prevention and care. The chapter emphasizes the public goods nature of health-promotion programs and encourages government cooperation with businesses to achieve mutually beneficial health goals.
