The Origins of INC Christianity
The Origins of INC Christianity
This chapter describes in detail the origins of INC Christianity, including four prominent INC Christian leaders and their ministries: C. Peter Wagner of the Wagner Leadership Institute, Che Ahn of Harvest International Ministries, Mike Bickle of the International House of Prayer (IHOP), and Bill Johnson of Bethel. The descriptions include their origins in “third wave” neo-Charismatic groups and their connection with neo-Charismatic pioneer John Wimber. The chapter ends by theorizing the rise of INC Christianity as part of a larger shift in society from formal organizations to networks as the central organizing principle.
