This chapter focuses on the Great Britain's answer to the Haw-haw radio programmes, Germany's war propaganda. It argues that during this time the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) was more active than the Ministry of Information in getting back at Germany and discusses the appointment of former BBC General-Director J.W.C. Reith as Minister of Information. It also describes Reith's meeting with current BBC Director-General Frederick Ogilvie and his proposals for wartime broadcasting.
