It is an old question whether virtue can be taught. The teaching of ethics in health care requires attention to the integration of the teaching environment, the content of what is taught, how it is taught, who teaches it, and the example set in the teaching environment. This chapter discusses methods of teaching ethics, such as the use of case histories, and the use of literature and other arts.
