This chapter examines the nature of electoral choice and the issues surrounding the conduct and regulation of elections. It analyses the nature of the choice afforded to the voters and evaluates who elections are to be held by and how elections for various offices are to be related temporally. It explores the role of electoral choice in the democratic process in participationist, liberal, and communitarian democracy.
