Adolescents and HIV and AIDS: Population Demographics and Prevention Strategies
This chapter focuses on HIV and AIDS in adolescents and programs aimed at educating young people about HIV and AIDS. The chapter is divided into three parts. Part I discusses the incidence and prevalence of HIV and AIDS among adolescents, and then reviews research on adolescent risk-taking behaviors. Part II describes federal law on AIDS-related education, educational campaigns, and data on program evaluation. A summary of the chapter is presented in Part III.
