This chapter discusses some of the ways in which people understand spirituality, what the spiritual stages of dying are, the spiritual issues people face in chronic and serious illness, and practical ways of dealing with these issues. It discusses a study that describes the psychospiritual stages of dying as a process of moving from chaos to surrender to eventual transcendence, and also mentions the relevant issues of glimpses of the divine and the so-called spiritual journeys.
