Physical Disability and Handicap
There are many scales to measure physical disability and functional capacity. These range from measures of bodily impairment, to measures of ability to perform basic daily tasks, up to measures of handicap, or the social disadvantage that results indirectly from a health problem. This chapter reviews scales of each type.
