This chapter examines Jordanian governor Hassan Bey al-Katib's takeover of the repair of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre during the early 1950s. The repair work was made possible with the agreement of the three local religious communities. Following the conclusion of the February 1952 agreement between the communities to repair the rotunda home, Hassan Bey proceeded to get on with the job. This chapter discusses the repair works completed under the leadership of Hassan Bey.
