Models for Assessing Child Sexual Abuse
Models for Assessing Child Sexual Abuse
Professionals must decide which people, who may inform the likelihood of sexual abuse, to see, and in what configurations when assessing for sexual abuse. Professionals must also be able to provide a rationale for the model of assessment they employed. This chapter conceptualizes current practice into four, overlapping models for conducting assessments for possible sexual abuse. It also goes through the research and opinion about models for assessment.
