This concluding chapter sums up the key findings of this study on film and music combinations that do not work. It explains that the analysis of the outwardly aesthetic criteria that adjudicate whether film and music are not working together has facilitated a discussion of labor itself. It describes how post-industrial developments in Great Britain and the U.S. have altered employment according to methods and prerogatives that have significantly altered the status of the media as sites and modes of production.
