This chapter presents the text of George Gershwin's letter to his mother Rose Gershwin dated June 10, 1937. In this letter, Gershwin tells his mother that he is not feeling well but was hopeful that that the outcome will be positive. Neither Gershwin nor his doctors knew that his medical condition was as grave as it was and this was the last known letter he sent to his mother.
