Canadians resemble Americans more than any other nation. Canadians struggle with this fact, while Americans generally assume it or ignore it. The resemblance is masked by two different constitutional systems, by size, and by the United States’ global super-power interests. Nevertheless, in terms of policies and politics, what happens in the United States will also occur in Canada, and sometimes vice versa.
