Justice in Dismissal

Hugh Collins

Oxford University Press

This chapter discusses a description of the debates and the essays that were presented in the eight previous chapters of this book. These debates represented an unceasing competition between two paradigms of the employment relation. Although the attributes of the traditional paradigm as evidenced by the common law can be clearly identified, the novel paradigm envisioned by the law of unfair dismissal has yet to be fully articulated.
