This chapter places emphasis on the continuity of identity of the one who died for the sins of humanity. It discusses the reference to Jesus of Nazareth that is integral tothe theology of resurrection. In the chapter, the selfless love and self-giving of Jesus is brought into. For the Christian Church, the crucifixion of Jesus is a central moment that expresses a definitive episode which defines a distinctive love and self-giving of Jesus throughout His life. The chapter explores and discussed the Easter faith in the cross, which has become the ultimate symbol of the distinctiveness of Jesus's loving character and self-giving, and which has become the living reality in life of the Christian community and Christian faith.
