This chapter considers an assortment of puzzles and questions that arise in light of the analysis of achievements. If achievement is intrinsically valuable, does that mean that failure is intrinsically disvaluable? Perhaps surprisingly, it turns out that failure can also be intrinsically good. Other questions that are considered include puzzles that arise concerning group achievements. If many people work together on a project, how is the value of that achievement apportioned among the various achievers? The chapter also looks at the relationship between achievements and the value of games and sports, and takes up such issues as cheating and other potentially vicious means. Finally, we turn to philosophical achievements. Can there be achievements in philosophy, and if so, how valuable are they?
