As the title indicates, the book is an investigation into abstraction, infinity and their interaction.

Abstraction is of course “said in many ways” but the meaning relevant to my investigation is that which has had pride of place in the last thirty years in philosophy of mathematics, namely the meaning of abstraction that is connected to the use of abstraction principles in neo‐logicism....
