This book discusses the nature of firms and what determines their boundaries. It also describes how firms organize resources to pursue the strategy represented by the boundaries of the firm. It is essentially a book about links, or a bundle of resources shared by different elements in the economic system, and how they may form patterns of resource allocation involving the firm.
