We have reached the end of our investigation into the semantics and pragmatics of questions, and it is time for me to step back and take stock of what I have and have not accomplished. The first is easy to do: I can simply repeat the concluding section of each chapter, but I will not bore the reader with that. The second is harder, by definition. There are many issues and contributions that I am well aware I have not touched upon or not engaged with at the level they deserve. In particular, I am keenly aware that insights from work conducted in alternative research paradigms have not been covered adequately and in some cases have not been covered at all. And I have most certainly simply missed many interesting contributions within the paradigms I am familiar with, for even with the resources afforded by the internet, there is always something out there that one has not yet discovered....
