In The Concept of Logical Consequence Tarski's conception of logical consequence, and the model-theoretic approach based upon it, were criticized. Since that time a number of responses have appeared in print. This chapter reformulates the objections to Tarski, responds to critics, and sets out a positive conception of semantics to balance the critical remarks on Tarski.
