The Politics of Hinduism Tomorrow 1
The Politics of Hinduism Tomorrow 1
This chapter examines fundamentalism as a serious threat to the future of Hinduism. It argues that fundamentalism and Hinduism are both political and religious phenomena, and that Hindu fundamentalism learned from the West much of its anti-Western identity politics. It also considers the revisionist history of the Hindutva faction (often called the Sangha) regarding India, the link between myth and history, and Hinduism's future prospects.
