Lady Barton becomes more involved in the movement for the liberation of women and she makes an impressive speech at the Conference of Ladies in Hyderabad, which sends a resolution on the subject of child marriage and education for girls to the All-India Women’s Conference in Delhi chaired by the begum of Bhopal. She helps to found the Ladies’ Club for European and Indian ladies and becomes State Commissioner for the Girl Guides, founding child welfare centres and baby clinics, recruiting sponsors from among the rich noblemen.
