This pioneering volume brings together top scholars and analysts from both countries and across generations to study in depth four key areas of bilateral cooperation: economics, energy and climate change, security, and global governance. Specific issues covered by the chapters include trade, foreign direct investment, international production networks, energy security, renewable energy, clean coal, defence cooperation, maritime security, peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance, the reform of multilateral institutions, nuclear non-proliferation, and the rise of China.
