Epistemological disjunctivism has mostly been in the background in this second part of the book. There is a good reason for this, since the main thesis that is being propounded here regarding favouring and discriminating epistemic support is not meant to be hostage to the truth of any particular epistemological proposal, much less a controversial proposal such as epistemological disjunctivism. Nonetheless, this chapter shows how recognizing this distinction between favouring and discriminating epistemic support is crucial to motivating the epistemological disjunctivist position.
