The New Virtuosi: Global Managers
This chapter clarifies the tasks and activities that characterize the global leaders’ role, and discusses the Herculean challenges borne out of the complex and heterogeneous context where these professionals necessarily operate. This chapter argues that traditional competencies are not enough because global leaders make real difference in a world where several constituencies, both local and global, expect them to reduce poverty and contribute towards making the world a more peaceful and prosperous place.
