Some Remarks on ‘Naturalism’ as We Now Have It 1
Extending the themes in Wilson’s ‘Scientific Philosophy Heritage’ article, the present essay criticizes the limited portrait of ‘physical structure’ presumed within many modern forms of naturalist project, on the grounds that substantive amounts of mathematics are required before an adequate array of vital physical traits can be extracted from a specific differential equation model.
