Namely, how parents and children ought to treat each other at the different stages of the long and strong relationship between the parent and the child. The book talks about parental obligations and the moral relationship between a parent and a grown child, including what obligations each has to the other and why they have these. The Introduction outlines the chapters and the arguments contained therein.
