This final chapter explores and American’s continuing embrace of Oriental Monk figures. These include images aimed at a younger audience, e.g., Kung Fu Panda (2008) to the media presence of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. Here, the reader is invited to engage in her own reading of these phenomena utilizing the book’s critical lens. The Conclusion also gestures toward the impact of new digital media and transmedia contexts on the Virtual Orientalist realm.
