This chapter examines the development and sustainability of strong Organizational Learning Contracts. The major empirical findings are reviewed, contrasting strong and weak contracts. Some critical issues such as the complexity of building an OLC and the generalizability of these findings to other institutions are explored. A fundamental theme throughout this chapter is educational change. How do you motivate the need for an OLC? How do you implement it, and how do you sustain it are examined. The chapter ends with a practice theme of how to get started.
