This chapter consists of a summary of the explorations of passion that have been presented in this book. It underscores the contributions of the research with respect to the nature of passion, the prevalence of passion in people’s lives, the method of passion, and the development and outcomes of both harmonious and obsessive passion. In addition, new topics for future research are suggested. These include the transmission of passion, the potential existence of the stages of passion, perceptions of progression, the potential adaptive role of obsessive passion in certain situations, and a better understanding of those individuals who may not have found passion in their lives.
