Abstract

What do Palestinian supporters of Hamas and radical Jewish settlers in the Israeli-occupied West Bank have to do with the international peace process, other than providing an alibi for its failure? This book argues that conventional processes of international peacemaking identify and even produce “extremist” groups as spoilers of rational processes of negotiation and compromise.
