The issue of whether Latin or Greek was the original language of composition of the Passio Sanctarum Perpetuae et Felicitatis has been debated since 1890. This chapter argues that Latin was the original language of composition of the Passio Sanctarum Perpetuae et Felicitatis. It considers some examples of the differences between the Latin and Greek texts to illustrate the belief that the Latin is primary.
