This chapter explores issues of spirituality, with emphasis on whether a bridge can be formed between the secular account of relational being developed and traditions of spirituality. It argues that such a bridge exists in the ultimate impossibility of grasping the nature of relational process, and that this same inability is also found in numerous theological attempts to locate the nature of the sacred. It stresses the need to appreciate the sacred potential of collaboration. Instead of directly grappling with issues of the sacred, the chapter considers a family of metaphors that place relationship in the vanguard of understanding.
