It is generally agreed that physical science can shed light on many issues in metaphysics. But it is not widely recognized that cognitive science can do this as well. It is trivial, of course, that cognitive science can illuminate the nature of mind. But here it is argued that cognitive science can even illuminate the existence or nonexistence of nonmental entities and their properties. Exactly how cognitive science can address these metaphysical issues is a central question tackled in this book.
