This chapter takes stock of the Libya operation: it looks at the loss of human life, at operational costs as well as at the political consequences of the conflict. It looks particularly at the aftermath of the war in Libya itself, but also at NATO and the lessons it drew from the operation. In addition, the question of civilian casualties caused by the alliance is addressed in detail.
