‘Police Cooperation’ (Chapter 5 of Title V) forms part of the AFSJ and aims at ensuring a high level of security. The means to achieve this objective are measures to prevent and combat crime, based on coordination and cooperation between the police, customs, and other specialized law enforcement authorities of the MS (Article 67(3) TFEU).
